Potpourri

Just a few odds and ends to share with you...

First, thanks for the comments on my last post on compassion. Wish I had you with me at the time, those all make great sense. I know that won't be my last test, so this is good for me to know.

Second, Do yourself a favor and check out a great blog by e-mom. She left such a nice comment here when I blogged on Tricia Goyer's Generation NeXt Marriage, and now it is her blog's turn to review the book. She did such a generous thing, she encouraged readers to come here and read my husband's words. This book is a treasure and if you see any maturity in me, then there is your proof! Third, I started reading Beth Moore's Bible study on the Psalms of Ascent, a book I first heard about from author Robin Lee Hatcher's blog. http://robinlee.typepad.com/. Wow, this study is so good. I can literally see myself climbing stairs when I dig in the book. It's been an intimate time with God I'm truly enjoying. In case you are wondering, I downloaded the audio lessons at LifeWay.com to accompany the book.

Almost lastly, what would you like to read about here? I have on my heart to speak on flip flop wars and a health update. Anything else? I'm open for suggestions!

Lastly, I write this on a true Spring day with birds praising and praising. It is one of my favorite things to listen to (unless it is 6am on a Saturday). What are your favorite sounds? I also like baby coos, church bells, when my MP3 plays Nicole C. Mullen's Victory Chant, my kids' laughter, my husband when he calls me honey, sweetheart or any other endearment, rarely am I ever Julie to him. I also like the sound of a NASCAR race. Honestly it is the perfect way for me to nap, it is actually soothing to me. Isn't that crazy?
